Stretch marks also tend to affect the esteem of those who have them. But there is a solution! You can hide stretch marks with makeup and regain your esteem. Here is how to go about it.

Using concealers

This is one of the most effective ways of hiding stretch marks. Before applying it, use a body scrub to exfoliate the skin. You can then apply the concealer that will work perfectly on you. To determine the best one you will have to look around and compare how effective each is. Choose one that matches your body’s skin tone. To apply it, use a flat foundation brush to dab the concealer gently on the affected areas. Apply a single layer then another and so on till you achieve the desired effect. Dress before applying the concealer and then apply a spray-on makeup fixative to help the concealer remain in place.

Before going to bed, clean the concealer off and moisturize the skin. For best results use a moisturizer that has Vitamin E, Vitamin A or hyaluronic acid which increases the rate at which stretch marks fade. This is also important when you’re regularly applying other types of makeup such as for your eyelashes, eyelash extensions hong kong, lips, cheeks, eyebrows, and everything in-between.

This will only work on stretch marks that are flat. When used on raise stretch marks, tanners have the opposite effect. They tend to form creases on the edges making the stretch marks more pronounced.

Instead of trying to tan in the sun, make use of a self tanner. Just like a cleanser, you need to find a self-tanner that suits your skin without causing any allergies. Before applying the tanner, exfoliate the affected part to remove dead skin.

Squeeze the tanner from the bottle and place in a bowl and use a cotton swab to apply it. Start with the body part that has stretch marks applying along the line of the stretch marks. When the desired effect is achieved, continue to tan the rest of the body. Ensure you get an even tan all over so it looks natural. To achieve this, remove any excess tanner with a wet piece of cloth.

No matter which of the two ways you use, it is important to know that neither of the tanners nor concealers are waterproof. When going swimming it is best to cover the stretch marks with a swimsuit. There are those that may claim to be water-resistant but be sure to test that before stepping out and putting all your trust is such products. Also, you need to keep your skin moisturized and well taken care of to hasten the fading of stretch marks.
